Introduction

My name is Kristy Hilbig. I am so excited to be learning about how to make my own website. I am a journalism major at Texas State University. I will graduate this December and I have a lot to do before graduation! I currently work for a well-known little grocery store called HEB. It pays the bills and has been a very valuable job for me over the years. I'm from Austin, Texas. Outside of my move to San Marcos, I have lived in Austin all my life and miss it very much. What I miss most about Austin is my family, friends, and the endless amount of options for places to go, for anything! If you're ever in Austin, you should know where to go for a good time. I would recommend Zilker Park, Barton Springs, Esther's Follies, the Arboretum area, the Domain, Amy's Ice Cream, and almost anything in the downtown area. It's a great city. I never really realized how much I missed it until I moved away for school. Lucky for me, San Marcos is not that far away. When I do get a chance to go home to visit, I like to see friends and family - especially my nieces. My nieces are my favorite people on the planet; they always put a smile on my face.





Currently, I am very busy with work and my last semesters of college. I am trying to get the most out of my classes and getting closer to making some big decisions about my future. I am hoping to do some internships in the near future and am in the process of getting information about those kinds of opportunities. I am open to advice and love to make new contacts with people involved in the wide world of mass communication.
